Senior Non-Financial Risk Manager

Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) team is part of the Risk function and, next to the oversight of operational risks within NN Re, it is responsible for a much broader area covering all non-financial risks in the company, including fraud, business continuity and IT risk. The NFRM team is a trusted business advisor ensuring operational excellence and business-process resilience by providing second-line oversight, supporting management in the areas of strategic, emerging and non-financial risks and designing efficient and resilient processes.

We are looking for a senior risk manager to join the NFRM team, who will be responsible for the local implementation of NN’s Effective Control Framework (ECF) as well as continuous operation, monitoring and improvement of the ECF performance within NN Re. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in identifying and managing operational and non-financial risks, assessing controls, and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

What you are going to do

In this role you will perform second line function related tasks for operational, IT and enterprise risks as well as anti-fraud activities. This includes:

• Conducting risk assessments and control evaluations
• Monitoring and reporting on operational risk metrics, compliance with NN’s policies and standards and incident management
• Supporting NN Re staff on iRisk usage
• Maintaining knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Develop and deliver awareness trainings and on-boarding for new colleagues

Who you will work with

NFRM is small team consisting of two senior specialists reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of NN Re and giving pro-active advice to (senior) management to optimize business decisions.

The working language is English. As NN Re is only a small organisation, it will only take a short time before you get to know all 60 colleagues.
