Plant Controller
The plant controller is the co-pilot of the supply chain department, reporting to Head of Finance, but a dotted line to the two Plant Managers and Head of Production. He/she should be part of the Plant team meetings. He/She is responsible for the financial reporting, business cases for capex projects and gives requested and unrequested advice. He/She challenges business cases and performance. This vacancy is for the two Dutch factories in Tilburg.
Key responsibilities
- Reporting/Monitoring:
Sets up reporting to track financial performance of two plants.
Makes necessary bookings, provisions, accruals in the production area.
Explains differences to Budget, last year. Makes forecasts and latest estimates.
Discusses mitigating actions with the plant managers if performance is not met.
- Budget/Planning:
Organises the planning process with the whole team (bottom up).
Makes the annual plan/budget at the right level of detail allowing for strong reporting and analysis against budget.
Discusses the top down adjustments if necessary.
- Analysis:
All financial analysis relating to production items. Specifically on capex projects: project approval process, budget control, finalisation of project and accounting of that.
Stock and obsolescence reporting and accounting.
Close cooperation with the cost engineer on product costing.
You bring these skills, experience & education
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar financial controlling roles.
- Higher education: Administration, Economics, Accounting preferably.
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Fluent in business English, Dutch appreciated.
