Fixed Income Attribution Specialist

27-11-2023
3.783 - 5.405
Junior, Medior
The Hague
As Fixed Income Attribution Specialist, you’ll be playing a key role in NN’s global transformation to centralised analysis of asset performance and attribution.

Imagine assets worth over 75 billion euros. And then imagine you’re the specialist involved for measuring asset attribution, analysing the results, and the optimising attribution process. Because that’s your challenge as a Fixed Income attribution specialist at NN Group, the Netherlands’ largest financial services provider.

What are you going to do?

You’ll be playing a key role in NN’s global transformation to centralised analysis of asset performance and attribution. The goal is to gain efficiency benefits and highly reliable calculations thanks to standardised methods and tools, covering the entire scope from fixed income to equities and derivatives. Your work is crucial, as an error margin of just 1% may run into discrepancies of millions of euros in our balance sheet! The data sets you and your colleagues provide are the foundation of Operational Capital Generation (OCG) reporting and investor communication. Which is why your work has the attention of the managing board!

Your main responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the onboarding of business units to our centralised asset movement analysis services, for which you’ll be working closely with the finance managers of entities across the globe.
  • Testing the SimCorp Dimension software for Fixed Income Performance Attribution, checking whether calculations are correct, and analysing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analysing asset performance, benchmarking the performance of our business units, for which you will also be testing.
  • Discussing the asset movements with internal stakeholders who are responsible for OCG reporting in their respective countries, and explaining the calculations and data sets.
  • Creating for the asset side of the balance sheet a sustainable Solvency II reporting environment for all NN entities, which relies on OCG reporting.

What we offer you

NN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. We match this with employee benefits that are in line with what is needed today and in the future. This way, we offer our employees the opportunity to get the best out of themselves. We offer you:

  • Salary between € 3.783,85 and € 5.405,49, based on 36 hours depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary.
  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and one Diversity Day.
  • A modern pension administered by BeFrank.
  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities.
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometres travelled.
  • Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use.

What you will bring

You thrive in a role in which you leverage data analytics and financial insights to drive change, and easily absorb new information to deal with change yourself. Harnessing your communication and stakeholder management skills, you inspire and convince NN’s finance managers across the globe, helping them transform to centralised asset movement analysis. You also know how to explain data sets and findings. In addition, you take initiative and are committed to achieving meaningful team results, helping others and taking ownership of your work. Because you know what’s at stake! In addition you have:

  • A master’s degree in Finance, Investment Management, Actuarial Sciences or another relevant subject.
  • In-depth knowledge of fixed income, financial instrument valuation, derivatives and private markets / real estate. You also have a good understanding of asset modelling and asset valuation.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an asset attribution, actuarial, risk or pricing role.
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English.

As one of our five-strong Analysis of Movements group, you’ll be joining the mid office Controlling team. We are an internationally diverse and inclusive team of 25 specialists responsible for performance and analytics. Sharing a drive to deliver high-quality asset data within strict deadlines, we have in-depth discussions to continuously learn, improve our performance and do things smarter. Our atmosphere? Open, fun and supportive, not just at a professional, but also at a personal level. And we offer you a lot of autonomy and opportunity to develop your career and expand your horizon.
