
Assistant Manager Audit Quality - Root Cause Analysis

This is what you bring
- Master degree with a complete certificate in auditing (RA)
- Relevant work experience 6-8 years in the auditing practice (at a audit firm or, for example, a supervision authority)
- Having effective verbal and written communications skills in Dutch and English
- Strong project management skills
- A communicative and resilient professional with a positive and open attitude
- An independent thinker, who also radiates this independence and provides resistance where necessary
- Motivated to contribute to the continous improvement of audit quality at KPMG
What will you do in this position?
You are part of the team that is responsible for performing RCA's on thematic and engagement specific issues. You will be responsible for performing root cause analysis together with other (experienced) team members and work closely with other stakeholders. With a small team, you perform the analysis in accordance with KPMG's Global RCA methodology to uncover the underlying root cause(s) of audit quality issues , determine the remedial actions that respond to the underlying root cause(s) and monitor the effectiveness of these actions. You report the results to the Head of RCA.

The RCA team is being expanded as a result of the continuous investment to improve audit quality and the implementation of ISQM 1. Lead by the Head of RCA, this small team is using interviews, surveys and documentation to uncover the root cause(s), report the outcomes of the analysis to other stakeholders within KPMG and support the determination of actions to remediate the quality issue.
The RCA team is part of the Audit Quality Professional Practice (AQPP) department. The AQPP department consist of professionals with different backgrounds and experiences and focuses on the support of audit teams in order to contribute to the continuous improvement in audit quality
